  • What are timers and intervals?
    • A timer on the ENSO Pearl comprises intervals – or sub-timers – that run sequentially. Each timer can contain any number of intervals between 1 and 50. The chime will sound once at the end of each interval and twice at the end of all the intervals.
    • The timer display shows a read-out of the current interval: Interval x/y.
    • For example:
    • Interval 1/1 shows that you are looking at Interval #1 of 1 total intervals.
    • Hold down the >> button to add a new interval, which would then show 2/2 on the display – then set the required time for interval 2.
    • Repeatedly holding down the >> button continues to add new intervals to the existing timer.
    • The desired amount of time on each interval can be set in hours, minutes and seconds.
    • Intervals can be deleted by holding down the << button until you hear a beep. This reduces the total number of intervals.
    • You can review all the intervals within your timer by quickly pressing the >> or << buttons. Use the + or – buttons to add or subtract time from a given interval.
  • How do I store a timer in memory?
    • The ENSO Pearl has three memory banks for saving your timers (M1, M2 and M3). Each memory location is capable of storing up to a maximum 50-interval timer. When you store a timer into memory, the entire timer (including all set intervals) is stored into the memory location. In order to store a timer into memory, the target memory location must be empty. Small numbers (1, 2, and 3) appear on the display just inside the ENSO Ring, next to the corresponding memory buttons to indicate a saved timer in the respective location.Pressing and holding the Memory button will erase the memory (the small number next to the ENSO ring disappears). Note that pressing and holding the Memory button will also load the snapshot of the memory into the Timer. Once you have set the Timer to the desired specification, hold down a Memory button until you hear a beep and this will store the timer into that Memory.
    • What are the maximum and minimum lengths for an interval?
For the ENSO Pearl, intervals can be set in whole second increments from a minimum of one second to a maximum of many hours. Timers may be comprised of up to 50 separate intervals.
    • How can I set the timer to repeat a given interval?
The new ENSO Pearl has a repeat function. To set the repeat function, simply press the Memory button M3. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the time to the required interval. Press >> to add additional intervals until the required number of repeat intervals is attained. Press the start/stop button to start the repeat timer.

  • How long is the alarm snooze?
    • Pressing the Snooze button while the alarm is sounding will temporarily silence the alarm and extend the alarm time by 9 minutes. Once the Alarm has sounded (or during the sounding of the Alarm) , the Alarm needs to be switched off by holding down the RED stop button (2 o’clock position).
    • Can the audio chimes that play at the end of a timer be muted?
Yes, simply set the volume level of the clock to zero to mute the chimes. Press the Sound button, which is located at the 8 o’clock position, to call up the Sound Setting mode. Use the – button to decrease the volume to zero. A small icon will appear at the bottom of the screen to indicate that the sounds are muted. This icon will remain on the screen as long as the volume is set to zero.
    • Does the ENSO Pearl have a backlight?
The ENSO Pearl has a backlight for viewing in the dark or dim lighting. To turn the backlight on, simply press the ENSO button (the raised button in the 3 o’clock position). The backlight turns on automatically for a few seconds at the beginning and ending of a timer as well as at the sounding of Alarm. The backlight is not kept on continuously as this would quickly drain the batteries.
  • How long do the batteries last?
    • Battery life is completely dependent on the way that you use your clock. The Alarm/Timer sounds and backlight use the most energy. When the battery charge gets low, a low-battery icon will appear on the screen before the power is completely drained, giving you time to replace the batteries before the clock stops. We recommend that you use rechargeable alkaline batteries in your Enso clock.
  • Already own an ENSO clock and want to upgrade to the new ENSO Pearl?

      - Repeat timer function, to allow multiple repetitions of a single timer
      - The timer may be set in hours, minutes and seconds
      - Stop watch functionality
      - Use of latest audio technology ensures that the reproduction of the singing bowl chimes is virtually indistinguishable from the original.
